The endless search for perfect skin continues with an updated skincare routine. I’ve been receiving a lot of questions regarding what to use for oily and acne-prone skin. You have come to the right place, my dear friends.
I went to see a dermatologist not long ago who told me: toss the exfoliator, toss the cleansing devices, and use a very little amount of cleanser. That’s what I did.
In the morning, I splash my face with water and spray Eau Thermal by Avene covering my whole face. Contrary to what I used to believe, this is not just water: it’s magic. Besides its refreshing assets (very much needed in Dubai’s heat), it hydrates the skin a lot – works great as a setting spray too! I like to use it right before my moisturizer in the morning and evening.
Talking about moisturizers, I’ve been juggling between two different ones depending on what I’m doing. If I’m going out during the day, I’ll use Avene’s hydrating cream SPF 50+ and slap on the tinted moisturizer over it when I don’t feel like wearing heavy makeup. Otherwise, I moisturize my skin with the Clean-AC hydrating cream – which feels beautiful on the skin, love it! Application wise, instead of rubbing the product on my face, I like to gently press it down on my skin to make sure the product gets in.
The same routine happens in the evening but with a little twist: I cleanse my face with a tiny drop of Bioderma Sebium (forgot to include it in the picture, sorry!) before applying a prescribed acne-cream, the Eau Thermale, and the Clean-AC cream. Simple as that.
A lot of Avene is happening in this post. These products have become skincare favs – for real!
Little reminder: whatever I’m using might not work on you. Everyone reacts differently to different beauty potions, but I’ve been playing around with these products lately – that seem to interest most of you on Snapchat (add me @beautyresidence) – that are making my skin look radiant.
What is your skincare routine? Have you tried these products before?
