2015, you’ve been unpredictable: mean yet kind, greedy yet generous, boring yet fun, and, finally, slow yet sudden. Where has the time gone by?! There are a lot of 2015 bomb-ass products that deserve all the attention in the world. The choices are overwhelming, actually. Get yo’self a hot cup of tea/coffee and snack. Let’s discuss our top 15 beauty products of 2015.
Make Up For Ever released a collection of primers that are absolutely wonderful, but my ultimate favorite (which everyone should own) is the one with hydrating superpowers. The Step 1 Skin Equaliser Hydrating Primer makes your makeup glide on like silk, hydrates your skin (obviously), and protects it from that thick layer of makeup.
As for foundation, Clarins’ Everlasting Foundation has been the star of the show ever since I got my hands on it. With a semi-matte finish, it makes you look flawless, awake, and forever young.
Makeup Revolution blushes were my best discovery. Can someone please explain how can a 1 pound blush be so good yet so cheap? The shade I’ve been constantly wearing is Love, a gorgeous natural-looking dusty pink.
As for bronzer, Guerlain’s Terre D’Ete Terracotta bronzer is probably sent by the tanning-gods. It’s one of the best tools for warming up the face when looking like Casper the friendly ghost.
The oh-so-famous NARS Laguna bronzer entered the circle of trust earlier this year. What took me so long to pick this baby up? It has the right amount of pigment: not too muddy, but not invisible as well.
I’ve always been a fan of some Maybelline mascaras, but nothing beats Lash Sensational. The double-sided wand and the formula team up beautifully: they make your lashes longer and larger than life.
A trick I discovered this year is to define my waterline with a brown liner. It’s not as harsh as a black one, but it adds a little some’in some’in to the look. You know wha’am sayin’? I’ve been using on daily basis the Bourjois Crazy About Brown liner which contains a bit of shimmer and looks gorgeous on the waterline.
I’ve been all about go-to and long-lasting products this year. Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Taupe didn’t fail to impress me. The creamy nude-ish brownish color works great as a base or even on its own!
On to lip products, the first one that I must mention is Bourjois’s lipliner in Berry Much. I remember not liking it as much at first, but that gorgeous color is heartwarming. What is life without Berry Much?
Another one from the berry-family is Charlotte from NARS’s Audacious line. Charlotte is a divine deep forest berry. Not sure if it’s clear by now, NARS won my heart this year.
As much as I enjoy those daring colors, I always go back to my nudes: Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk is literally equivalent to my everyday lip color. And when I’m feeling very Kylie Jenner-like, Mocha by MAC is the best nude for that.
The Beauty Blender. Yes. Enough said.
So that’s my collection of 2015’s kick-ass products. I’m really excited to see what 2016 has to offer for my beauty drawers.
