I’ve visited the Benefit counter at least 6 times before I purchased Highbeam. It was big a dilemma between this one and Watt’s up! I finally got it along with other products in this kit that I’ve been testing the whole week.
As you can see in the picture above, it looks like a nail polish bottle (only it isn’t). Not what a normal highlighter would look like.. *I love Benefit packagings* It’s not made out of glass but out of a rigid thick plastic material I guess. So the bottle isn’t breakable. The applicator is a wand/brush which is quite dense and holds enough product.
The product itself is a pink toned and quite creamy. Unlike benetint, you don’t feel that it will run down your face before you start blending it.
Speaking of blending… It blends amazingly as it is smooth, so no harsh lines. The shimmer in it is finely milled. It’s not too in your face once you look at yourself in the mirror. On the contrary, you are left with a healthy and natural glow.
They say you have to apply three dots of the product along your cheekbones then blend it lightly with your fingertip for a dewy, youthful look.
It holds up all. day. long. I’m serious!
I applied it before going to school (6:45 am) and when I came back (3:30 pm) it was still there, right were I left it! Reminder: I have oily skin.
