I fell for the hype. I started binge-watching Kylie Lip Kit reviews. And so, an order was placed. It’s funny because my first instinct after placing that guiltless order was to binge-watch the bad reviews filled with venom.
After finally receiving that month-long delivery (thank you USPS), I realized that they are nothing like what I expected them to be.
Let’s focus on what’s important: is this a waste of money?
The two shades I picked up are Candy K and Exposed. Exposed definitely scared me. It looked extremely different on each Youtuber I’ve seen, and was convinced that it would look like poo. Beware, it’s not a universal shade. Anyway, I ended up loving both colors.
Performance? I expected to have Kylie Jenner lips – call me naive! The liquid lipsticks are okay. Just okay. They definitely don’t feel drying, but even with the thinest layer, the liquid lipsticks emphasized my wrinkly lips, instead of creating a smooth surface. Not sure I like that… I find myself scraping the excess off the wand to achieve a very thin coat of lipstick.
BUT there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
The lip liners are out. of. this. world. You have more control and work better with your lips. They give a very sexy plumped I-just-had-fillers matte look (which the only-inner-beauty-matters gal in me is actually enjoying).
Overall, the liquid lipsticks are good, but not a must-have. The liners, however, are worth every penny. And both products really last forever on the lips.
What are your thoughts about these? I want to know all about your experience in the comments!
