I don’t know what has gotten into me lately, but I’m totally getting out of my comfort zone. Yes, I’m wearing blue eyeliner – whatta rebel!
Haven’t you noticed that all the summer 2015 collections feature at least one colored item? And the neutrals-girl in me is actually liking it. Clarins released in their summer collection a gorgeous turquoise liner and eyeshadow, both, in the shade Aquatic Green. Today’s look is all about le bleu. I luv eht.
I used most of the Clarins Aquatic Treasures summer 2015 collection to create the look. I’m not going to discuss now how beautiful the collection is, you’ll get to see it yourself throughout the post.
I started by using Instant Light in 05 Golden Bronze as a base. Ermergerd. I don’t really know if they ever released such amazing inventions in past collections, but their Instant Lights are fantastic! Even under the foundation, they manage to give you a I-look-like-a-Victoria’s-Secret-model glow, you know?
I applied Bourjois’s Healthy Mix Serum on top of it for a dewy finish and used my favorite concealer from NARS, the Radiant Creamy Concealer, to cover my dark circles and blemishes.
One of my favorite pieces of this collections is this rose gold eyeshadow. Yes, Aquatic Rose I’m looking right at ya. I applied all over my lid together with the gray shade, Aquatic Grey along my upper lash line and outer corner. As for the turquoise madness, the eyeliner we talked about earlier was applied in the waterline and the eyeshadow was blended along the lower lash line. I finished the eyes with a good coat of mascara, that I’m currently testing, from Marc Jacobs. I chose not to go for the Aquatic Green mascara from Clarins’ summer collection: as you can see, there are a lot of colors happening on my face already.
I’m so happy to see one of my favorite bronzers make an appearance again. I absolutely love the Clarins summer bronzers. Last year’s one was featured in my 5 Products You Need post. I used it to contour my cheeks. I also applied Dandelion by Benefit on the apples of my cheeks and MAC’s Soft & Gentle highlighter to make them cheekbones pop!
Since I was feeling very extravagant, I decided to go on with the madness with a bright coral lip from Bourjois in Pamplemousse. I look like a peacock. I feel like peacock.
I chickened out and ended up with a very much loved boring nude combo: Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Satisfaction and YSL’s Gloss Volupté in the shade 19.
What’s your fun summer look? Have you tried products from the Clarins summer collection?
