Flawless : Review of Dream Lumi Touch by Maybelline

May 18, 2013

A new concealer has been added to the makeup family lately. It’s one of the those items that I always contemplate in Boots and never end up getting it. Knowing that I’ve never tried any Maybelline’s foundations or concealers, I thought that I would give this a go.
Dream Lumi Touch is very similar to what YSL Touche Eclat looks like, a product dispenser. Although I’m not a huge fan of it’s packaging, I have to say that it’s very practical and easy to use. But the way that plastic material looks bothers me a bit.

Moving on to the actual product… I picked up the shade 02 Nude out of the three shades available in Dubai. First thing that I noticed is that this highlighting concealer is yellow based. Hence, no correcting can be done. Definitely not similar to Touche or Erase Paste. However, it provides enough coverage for daily use.
I like applying it mostly in the inner corners, on the brow bones and occasionally on top of the cheek bones. It blends beautifully into this “awake” look by brightening the concerned areas. Now, I try to avoid blending it on all the under eye area as it can leave me looking like a panda. Haha!
I’ve been wearing this almost everyday now and I haven’t experienced any settling in fine lines or other problems that can be encountered with concealers in general. Two thumbs up!
Have you ever tried this concealer? Thoughts? Leave a comment below 🙂

I’ve tried this concealer but only put it under my eyes and wasn’t keen on it. Maybe I should give it another go in other areas.

Ohh.. Try mixing it with your favorite concealer. That’s what I do when I’m not fully satisfied with a product.

Thanks for the review! I was thinking of picking this concealer up at Boots, how would you describe the consistency of the concealer? Is it easy to blend?

I’ve got a collection one similar to this and I love it. So brightening and blends so well! I’ve recently done a post featuring it and other under eye concealers if you’re interested! X
