Flawless : Bobbi Brown’s Stick Foundation

January 9, 2015

So I’ve been trying and testing a new foundation.

Before we start the actual review, I must point out that my skin is going through hell. Throughout the whole atrocious finals week, my skin got dehydrated which weirdly made my T-zone oilier, generated break outs, and made my skin flake; all at once! Sexy.

As a motivation to ace my final exams, I sort of gifted myself Bobbi Brown’s Stick Foundation. I deserved it, didn’t I? Apparently, it’s a solid version of their Skin Foundation. The texture is really creamy and very easy to apply. I usually like to blend it with my fingers or a foundation brush. Although it’s medium to full coverage, it dries to a natural yet dewy finish, enhancing your skin’s look, as well as giving it a healthy

Everything sounds so wonderful, doesn’t it? I hate to be the party pooper, but I can’t help it. My T-zone starts to shine a few hours post application. Also, slapping on the product to the skin immediately from the stick isn’t the ideal thing to do when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene.

Nevertheless, it’s still a pretty nice foundation and I’ve been reaching out for it almost everyday. I would definitely recommend it for women who are always on-the-go and want to achieve that fresh “look-at-me-I’m-so-healthy” look.

Bobbi Brown is a relatively new brand for me, I’ve never really tried out any of their products until now – other than this blush, of course. But I’m definitely going back for more.

Have you tried a Bobbi Brown foundation before?

I have her old stick formulation – and I’ve heard that it’s even creamier than the newer one so thank god you didn’t try that one, it would have probably been way too shiny!… I find for my dry skin it’s quite suitable but it deposits white heavy straight from the tube – I always have to use a beauty blender to get a nice finish. I really like the colouring of Bobbi Brown base products – next time you’re at her counter I’d recommend a good look and swatch fest!
