Current Drugstore Mascara Favorites

Like most of you out there, mascara is my favorite beauty item. But I’m also very demanding with it. There are two mascaras that I’ve been constantly going back to.

Gosh Rebel Eyes – I like to call this the bulletproof mascara: it’s not waterproof, but takes ages to get off because of its dryness and its I’m-here-to-stay crispy finish (which is better for holding a good curl). The amount of drama Rebel Eyes adds to your look is insane. It took me a bit of time to get used to it as it packed on so much product and left me with clumpy lashes. But after a few uses, you start getting the hang of it and have full control of the mascara.

The length, the curl, the volume. It’s all there.

L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Feline – this one is a bit wetter. The result is not as dramatic as Rebel Eyes, but good enough to satisfy my constant big-lashes cravings. Plus, it’s way easier to remove. This one leaves your lashes a bit more flexible, unlike the Gosh mascara. Its shorts bristles separate the lashes beautifully. One thing I like to do with this one is to pack on a 2nd coat for more drama.

Both of these mascaras: are very black, have curved wands, are available at drugstores, and are pretty damn good. Go get them.

What are you mascaras of the moment?
