Brushed it : My brush collection

June 1, 2013

I know I don’t have the biggest brush collection out there. However, I know that I have more than enough to create a full look. Each brush has its own function in order to give the desired effect. As I was cleaning my brushes this morning, I thought that I would do a quick post about them. So please don’t mind their wet look, they just came out of the shower.

I received a lot of questions regarding my brushes, specially the Sigma ones. When I started building up my collection, I immediately got Sigma brushes as they sell them in kits. I heard amazing things about these brushes before getting them. I have to admit, they really are great. I would love to try Real Techniques brushes and a few MAC ones though.. The majority of my brushes are from Sigma, but you’ll see that I have a few other ones as well.

For base

F80F60F70 – UD eyeshadow (I use it for concealer)

For powder/blush

Mikyajy blusher brush  (my first brush!) – F30F50F40F35

For blending (eyes)

For eyeshadow

E60E55E70E20 – E30

For eyeliner and lips

E05E15 (used for lips as well) – E65 – Maybelline eyeliner (used for lips) – MAC 210

I will probably do a post about my favorite brushes and how I like to use them. I don’t always use them for their original function. Something a bit more detailed perhaps. What do you think?

Sigma has a coupon code to get 10% off your entire order each month. Make sure you check the banner on the side bar with the monthly coupon code. June’s coupon code is SUM2013.

I love Sigma E 40 and E35, and also MAC 210. They are fantastic. Unfortunately, Sigma E50 is always losing hair on my face. 🙁

I don’t have the E50, but I go through the same problem as well!

Thanks for your follow! I’m not a huge fan of the original foundation brush F60. However the F80 is my favorite! Love how it applies foundation!

I don’t have a good brush collection, so I will definitely be using that code to build it up-thanks! Are there any specific ones you would recommend to buy first?
